~Two ferns sit in my living room, plants given to me after I moved in. I'm amazed at how healthy and big they stay.
~Years ago when I lived Down South it was the fashion to hang big ferns on front porches. I didn't have a porch but I did occasionally try to have a fern, but they always turned brown and died pretty quickly. A friend and I used to joke that those folks with ferns on their porches must go buy new ones every week or so to keep them looking so good.

I say the same thing every single time I see one of those huge, gorgeous ones hanging on a porch. We cannot keep them looking nice out there.
I love ferns but I too have a hard time keeping them green. They really need exactly the right watering consistently. I don't know how anyone keeps them good hanging on a porch! They must have gardeners that pay perfect attention.
What is your secret with this one?
